Setting your goals for 2014

Setting your goals for 2014.

The S.M.A.R.T. Goals model (by Jim Rohn) is an acronym.  It looks like this:

S = Specific / Significant

M = Measurable / Meaningful

A = Attainable / Achievable / Acceptable

R = Realistic / Relevant / Reasonable

T = Timely / Trackable

Does that get you excited? Does it motivate you? Do you feel powerful after reading that? Does it seem like a light has come on, like you've just had an epiphany? No?

Not surprising. Achieving goals is all about motivation. A 'S.M.A.R.T. Goal' that isn't smart, isn't smart. Or put it another way - S.M.A.R.T. Goals that don't arouse your passions are dead goals, goals that will be left to rot under the scorching sun of mediocrity.

Empowering Smart Goals

The key to setting and achieving S.M.A.R.T. Goals is to set goals that motivate you. Goals that arouse your passion that get you excited. Goals that spring into your mind when you wake up first thing in the morning. Goals that dominate your conversation that make your eyes sparkle when you think about them. Anything less isn't a goal it's just a chore.
