Fix Your Focus

  • Where do you picture yourself five years from today?
  • Get rid of that negative self-talk and work on your thought patterns.  Only think of positive aspects in your life.
  • Tell yourself that you deserve what you are working towards.  You deserve to be happy and fulfilled.
  • Grab a book that is inspirational and motivational.  Go particularly for those books that tell you someone's life story and how he/she had struggled through hardships to get where they want to be.  Beat the odds as it were.
  • Assess yourself, understand your strengths and then work on improving your weaknesses.
  • Demand more of yourself.  Do not short-change yourself and not explore your avenues.  Push the envelope and boundaries, not just mentally but physically as well.
  • Be prepared to take risks, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  • Believe in what you want and stand up for it.
  • For things to change, you need to change.  Change your attitude, your mindset, your daily routine.  Surround yourself with positive people.
  • Commit yourself to being unstoppable and no matter what you will succeed.

Taking that leap into the unknown

We need to take chances, we need to allow ourselves to reach outside our comfort zones.
It is when we do not stretch ourselves that we stagnate and grow bored.
Too often we find ourselves in situations that we do not want to be in, simply because we were afraid to take that leap into the unknown.

Handling Life's situations

I have been "offline" for a bit - having to attend to some personal life situations - which all of us have to go through.

The time is still tough, but we have to continue with our lives and make the best of it all.

Thank you for listening.

Stay on Course

You've been planning for the perfect vacation for six months, and now the day is finally here. The tickets are in your pocket, your bags are packed, and you're driving to the airport. On the way, you pass a favourite restaurant and think about how much you like their food. You turn the car around, go back to the restaurant, walk in, sit down and enjoy a delicious meal. The only trouble is, by the time you finish eating you've missed your flight and you don't get to take that vacation of a lifetime.

Would this ever happen? Of course not. When you're on your way to something you've been working for, planning, and anxiously awaiting, you'd never let a petty distraction throw you off track. Or would you?

Unfortunately, it happens every day. Too often, we let the distractions of the moment deny us our most treasured goals. The next time you're tempted by a distraction, keep in mind where you're already headed and how very much you desire to get there. Ask yourself if you would prefer to have the distraction or the goal you've set for yourself. Rather than hopping from one empty distraction to another, focus your effort
and attention toward those things which will bring true and lasting fulfilment.

Need to give our best all time

We sometimes quit even before we start. We don't think we are strong enough sometimes or it is just simply impossible. But we have to endure it for in the end it is worth it. We need to give our best all the time, in everything we do.

How wealth is judged

- Author Anonymous

A week ago the sycamore tree was loaded with gold.  However, instead of sitting back and enjoying it, it began to give it away.  At first it was just a leaf here and a leaf there, whenever the wind asked for a contribution.  But soon it was giving it away in fistfuls, without even being asked, and without a thought for a wintry tomorrow.

Wealth is judged, not by the amount that is accumulated, but by the amount that is given away.

The only wealth that is worth having is the wealth of the heart.  To close one's heart is to begin to die; to open it is to begin to live.
